Rando / VTT / Motos

The Lot is a great garden for walking, cycling and motorcycling, and there are a number of tourist routes starting from Le Bois de Sophie campsite. Between the valleys and the Causses. The valley is bordered by high cliffs where the village of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie is perched. To the north, the Dordogne Valley crosses the department for around fifty kilometres. Here you'll find steep cliffs, charming villages and a major prehistoric site: the Grotte du Pech-Merle. Between the Dordogne and the Lot, the Causse de Gramat is famous for its flagship sites, Rocamadour and the Gouffre de Padirac; between the Célé and the Lot, the Causse de Gréalou.

With a dense network of signposted footpaths close to our campsite in the Lot, which you can explore on foot, by bike or on horseback. The Lot offers many other hiking and walking adventures. To the north, south, east or west of the Lot, we can offer you tours that are rewarding from every point of view. If you'd like to go on a truffle-hunting tour, depart from Lalbenque. If you want to discover our heritage, wells, wash-houses, cazelles, we'll take you to Aujols. Better still, if you want to follow in the footsteps of André Breton, you'll fall under the spell of Saint-Cirq-Lapopie.

At the Bois de Sophie reception desk, we'll be delighted to advise you on various tours in the Lot to make your stay even more enjoyable!
